Net Temps Appoint a FIR Ambassador to Further Deliver on Our Social Sustainability Goals
This appointment builds on our continuing work towards promoting and facilitating a diverse and inclusive workforce as part of our sustainability strategy.
Social Sustainability & Net Temps
We are thrilled to announce that we have appointed a Fairness, Inclusion and Respect (FIR) Ambassador to champion our values of social sustainability, diversity, and being an equal opportunity employer in the construction industry. This significant step showcases our unwavering commitment to the principles of social sustainability, fairness, inclusion, and respect for both our esteemed clients and the communities we serve. The Ambassador’s primary role is to embody these principles by fostering collaborative work, taking proactive action when necessary, challenging behaviours that hinder progress, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
New Training from Supply Chain Sustainability School
Our Ambassador, Joanne Carter, has undergone comprehensive training at the Supply Chain Sustainability School to equip herself with the skills and knowledge required to promote and facilitate a culture of social sustainability, equal opportunity, fairness, inclusion, and respect within our organisation and the broader community. The training placed particular emphasis on applying these principles within the context of the construction industry and fostering a better workplace environment for all.
This appointment forms an integral part of our company-wide sustainability program, enabling us to lead by example and implement best practices that ensure fair treatment, inclusivity, and respect for everyone within our organisation and those we engage with.
Moreover, this appointment builds upon the ongoing efforts we have already undertaken in the area of inclusive recruitment and diversity. We have forged vital partnerships with organisations that support candidates facing barriers or disadvantages in the open labour market. Such as our partnership with Tempus Training. By doing so, we aim to address and overcome the prevailing skills shortages in the construction industry while simultaneously tapping into the immense potential of diverse talent and creating more opportunities for all.
Business Case for Appointment
Empirical data from extensive statistical research further substantiates the business case for social sustainability, equal opportunity, fairness, inclusion, and respect in the workplace. Studies consistently demonstrate the positive impact of these principles on business performance and outcomes. By fostering a safe and supportive environment that encourages collaboration, engagement, and productivity, we generate not only financial returns but also enhance the health and well-being of our team members. We remain steadfast in our commitment to making social sustainability, equal opportunity, fairness, inclusion, and respect the core pillars of our vision and mission.
