The Redhill Academy Moving On Day: Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders
We are thrilled to share our recent participation in the Moving On day hosted by the esteemed Redhill Academy Trust on Friday 19th April 2024. This event, attended by 350 students from five of the Trust’s Nottinghamshire Sixth Forms, marked a pivotal moment in the journey of these students as they prepare for life after secondary school.
The Moving On day was a dynamic platform where students immersed themselves in a range of insightful lectures held at Nottingham Trent University. These sessions were meticulously crafted to equip students with essential knowledge and skills for their transition into the next phase of their education and careers. Topics covered were diverse, encompassing vital subjects such as apprenticeships, financial literacy, legal rights and responsibilities, road safety, and thriving in higher education.
As part of our enduring commitment to social values and community engagement, we were privileged to contribute to this meaningful event. We delivered a short motivational presentation titled “Opportunity and Obligation,” designed to encourage students to think positively about their next steps moving forward and to seize every opportunity to maximise their potential.
Our involvement in the Moving On day reflects our belief in nurturing the potential of young minds and empowering them to become tomorrow’s leaders.
